Wallumbilla Natural Gas Futures (GZ) - Trading Halted on 19 August 2024

As per Notice 0949.24.08, Customers are advised that the Wallumbilla Natural Gas Futures (GZ) Contracts were halted on 19 August 2024 when ASX became aware that some third party vendor systems were displaying the incorrect expiry month.

ASX informed market vendors on the correct display of the expiry month.

Wallumbilla Gas futures contracts opened for trading at 10:00am on 20 August 2024.

Example codes and delivery months are shown below:

Some vendors are continuing to work to resolve the issue. Customers trading in Wallumbilla Gas futures (ASX code GZ) should confirm their market vendor and In-house systems are configured correctly.

The Wallumbilla Natural Gas Contract Specification is available in the ASX 24 Operating Rules.

What do I need to do by when?

Vendors and in-house software providers should confirm that the product is configured as per the Wallumbilla Natural Gas Contract Specification in the ASX 24 Operating Rules. Vendors and software providers should contact their technical account manager or email tradingoperations@asx.com.au if they have any questions.
