ASX Energy runs introductory workshops designed to increase understanding of the ASX Australian Electricity Futures and Options Products. This workshop is suitable for those recently entered participant/entities seeking to gain a generic overview of the market and for others seeking to improve their knowledge of the market will also find this workshop of interest. There is no assumed knowledge and generally suited for any role in the market from traders, risk managers, treasurers, regulators and other industry observers.

Level 2: Options Trading Workshop
The advanced Options Trading Workshop will be covered on Day 2. The workshop reviews the fundamental volatility drivers in the National Electricity pool and futures markets, relevant to options pricing and risk management (i.e. the option greeks). The workshop will demonstrate hedging techniques using options to minimise hedge cash flow volatility for generators, retailers and industrial energy consumers and utility companies.
